A lot is happening

NOVEMBER 12th!  Save the Date!  Anheuser Busch stockholders will vote on the fate of Anheuser Busch and whether they accept the $70 per share offer.
Inbev Shareholders gave their seal of approval on the take over of Anheuser Busch, creating the world’s largest brewer.  Anyone who has owned BUD stock as of October 3rd can vote on the deal.

Since Anheuser Busch accepted the offer, news of the takeover has been non existent, until now.  InBev's chief executive Carlos Brito was quoted as saying that he would stick to his commitment of keeping the jobs here however there are some stipulations.  Check out the news links to get a better idea of what is at stake.  It will be interesting to see how things play out especially with all the financial instability happening on Wall Street and in our banking industry.  Bail out or no bail out, would voting to sell America's largest brewer be in the best interests of the American people?

We are still holding out hope that shareholders will vote against this and in the meantime we are piecing together an idea to help raise awareness and money for three outstanding charities.  The three organizations we've chosen to receive the money will provide financial assistance to our troops and their families.  Now more than ever our current military and our veterans need our support.  Stay tuned for details...

Let's Save More than Just our Beer
Since 1852, Anheuser-Busch has been an American-owned and operated business. In addition to great tasting beer, this company has provided thousands of domestic jobs as well as millions of dollars in charitable donations to nonprofit organizations and disaster relief, and has a long history of environmental awareness. Anheuser-Busch is a huge supporter of our military and their families both here and abroad and is ranked in the ‘Top 50 Military-Friendly Employers’.

Recently in the news, talks of a hostile take over of the company by a European concern have been prevalent. Let’s band together as one voice and try to save more than just our beer. We don’t want another American icon turned over to a foreign company; we want the motto to remain…The Great American Lager.
